If the Resurrection is True… (1 Cor. 15)
On Easter Sunday 2025, Ben walks us through reasons we should want the resurrection to be true. If Jesus didn’t raise, he couldn’t have died (which means there’s no forgiveness for sin). If Jesus didn’t raise, he isn’t alive (which means there’s no eternal hope). And if Jesus didn’t raise, he didn’t usher in a new reality on earth (which means there isn’t abundant life today). But Jesus DID rise, which means he did die, he is alive, and he did usher in a new reality on earth! Because all this is true, there is forgiveness for sin, there is eternal hope, and there is abundant life today! After walking through three weeks of doubting the resurrection, we see that Jesus meets us in our doubts, desires, and needs — and does so through the resurrection.
